After the Afterglow
(original pop-rock song)

Where do we go from here
When there's nothing left to give in to?
The lust is hard to maintain when you're
three thousand fucking miles away.
My dreams are slow in coming
and there's not much more that I can do
except cry
And wonder why you had to go away...

But after all, it was only one summer.
And after all, I was only a girl.
There isn't much that I can say
To get you back in my arms someday
But for now all that I know
is the pain that comes after the afterglow...

I tried to cope when you left, said I don't need you...
But how was I to know
that I just couldn't leave you alone.
I need so much to hear from you,
To know that you still love me too,
I don't know why,
but I just can't keep on living this way!

But after all, it was only one summer.
And after all, you're already a man.
I'm wishing somehow that I knew
If my love did the smae to you,
For now... all that I know
is the pain that comes after the afterglow...

And after all, it was only last summer.
And after all, it could happen again.
There isn't much that I can say,
But I'll try to hold on anyway
'couse maybe I'll never know
Just what comes after the afterglow...
